A meeting of the Rakaia branch of .the Red Gross Society was held in St. -Sunday School on September 30. Mrs W. T. Todd occupied the chair. ' A letter vyas received' from the president, resigning her position, as she had left the district. —It was. reI solved' that the: resignation- be accepted with regret, arid Mrs Boag was elected president. Collectors were appointed to canvass the oxitstanding- districts for towels for the hospitnl, ship. Flowers, given by Mrs Holmes, were sold at the close of the meeting, the sum of 4s 3d being realised.
