ALIEN ENEMY TEACHERS.
SCOPE OF THE BILL
WELLINGTON, September 21
The Alien Enemy Teachers Bill, which was circulated in the House of Representatives to-day, provides that alien enemy subjects shall not be employed in New Zealand as teachers during the war. It also contains a provision that compensation may be paid to any person dismissed under the Act. The compensation is to be paid by the governing bojly of the institution, and must not exceed the equivalent of one year!s salary. If the governing body continues to employ any alien enemy teacher in breach of the Act, no money shall be payable out of tho public revenue for the benefit of the institution.
