THE FALLEN AND WOUNDED.
Mr- Hugh Muirhead received advice this morning that his grandson, Trooper E. H. Simon, had died of | wounds on August 30. "Ted" Simon was educated at Sumner, and afterwards at the Ashburton High School. He was for two years in the Lands and Deeds Office, Christchurch, after which he took up surveying. When war was declared he was one of the first to enlist, going with the Main Force as a trooper in the C.V.'C He was a very promising young man, and a favourite wherever he Trent.
