TINWALD ODDFELLOWS' LODCE.
The ordinary meeting of the 1.0.0.P., M.U., Loyal Tinvvald Lodge, was held on Monday last. There was a good attendance of mombors, and the N.G. (Bro. S. Culverhouse) presided. A favourable report was received from the sick visitors, and £2 sick pay was passed for payment. A motion of condolence with Bro. Thomas Williams, in the death of his wifo, was carried in silence, the members standing, and the secretary was ordered to forward a copy to Bro. Williams.
A resolution was carried antagonistic to the manner in which the Government is booming tho National Provident Fund, thereby interfering with friendly societies' work, and a copy of the resolution was ordered to bo sent to the Primo Minister and the member for Ashburton.
Tho secretary produced the halfyearly balance-sheet, duly audited, which showed the lodgo to bo ill a sound position.
