WORKERS' HOMES.
ONE HUNDRED TO BE BUILT.
WELLINGTON, August 11. Cabinet has authorised the erection of 100 workers' dwellings, involving an estimated expenditure of £50,000. At tho time authority was applied for about 200 applications for dwellings had been received, by tho Labour J)epartment. from, all parts of New Zealand. At present tho Department and its agents are engaged in making the necessary inquiries and arrangements with a view to proceeding with tho building programme.
