WELLINGTON, August 12. News has reached Wellington that Lieutenant-Colonel W. G. Malone, Officer Commanding tho Wellington Battalion of the New Zealand Forces, has been killed in action. At the outbreak of the war he was in command of the Taraiiaki Rifles, and went with the Main Expeditionary Force,
