SUNNY LAKE PURCHASED BY MR J.B. REID.
(Per Press Association —Copyright). # LONDON, August 9. Mr J. B. Reid has purchased Sunny Lake, by Sundridgc—Pearl of the Loch, by Persimmon. He will be shipped by the Arawa. He was beaten by a head in the Newmarket Handicap. Mr Reid intends racing his new purchase in New Zealand before sending him to the stud.
Sunny Lake was bred by his Majesty the King at the Sandringham stud. The cabled information about Mr Reid racing the horse may be correct, but it should be noted that Sunny Lake is advertised in the "New Zealand Referee" to stand this season at Elderslie, and serve 10 approved mares apart from those belonging to his owner.
