SUBSTSTUTE FOR COTTON.
LONDON, August 10. A neutral who recently toured Germany states that German chemists have overcome tho difficulties of using wood-pulp to replace cotton in the manufacture of high explosives. The chief difficulty was to eliminate the impurities. Three largo factories employing 4000. people are now engaged in making wood pulp.
