RUSSIANS STILL RETIRING. (Received August 11, 12.55 p.m.) AMSTERDAM, August 1. A Gorman communique states:— General yon Scholz stormed and captured the Lomza fortress, and, after severe fighting southwards of Lomza, we crossed the Onstrow. Onstrow is still in the enemy's hands. From Bowjany westward we broke through 12 kilometres south of Onstrow and reached the Bug. Since August 7 we have captured 23 officers and 10,000 men in that region. Prince Leopold of Bavaria is near the Stanislavow-Novominsk Road. General Woyrsch, pursuing 7 <' the enemy, reached the district northwards of Zelechow, and is now in close touch with General yon Mackensen's advancing armies. The enemy's rearguard on the On-strow-Bug front was. thrown back by main force.
