The crew of the Emma were first taken on board the submarine and two torpedoes were discharged into the Emma., Subsequently the Maria and. two other Danish sailers arrived on the scene. The Gormans took off thoir crews, drenched the vessel with oil, and set them on fire. Later on the submarine- met a Norwegian steamer and transferred the four crews to her.
