WELLINGTON, July 29. At the Farmers' Union Conference to-day, a remit ■• from Auckland in fay-, our of establishing an Agricultural College in the North Island was agreed tO. ■"■ . ; ,-'.',.'-.>.••.: Another Auckland;.remit, urging the provision of mflre.. Accommodation for cadets at experimental farms, was also adopted. A proposal that Government agricultural experts be available to farmers to give practical advice- at farms was discussed at some, length. The conference finally passed a resolution expressing satisfaction with the,..work of the Depai'tmont of Agriculture, and asking it. to extend the work' now being i done by its experts.
