SHOOTING AFFAIR
WELLINGTON, July 27. | , A sensational shooting affray occurred in. the city this afternoon as the result of which a man named Harry Parslow was seriously, injured. It is stated that at about 4.30 p.tn;, Parslow, who resides in Martin Street,' fired a revolver at Ernest William ColHngwood, a. soldier in uniform, at his house,in Martin Street. Parslow then turned the weapon on himself and fired a bullet throupgh his head, the pellet entering behind one ear and emerging on tho opposite, side, of the skull. Collingwood had a remarkable. 06c-ario from.grave injury. The bullet struck a 1 metal hook pf his uniform, glanced off arid passed through the edge of the j tunic,- grazing his side. Parslow, who is 52 years of ago, was removed to the hospital, and lato tonight was in a serious, condition. WELLINGTON, July 28. Harry Parslow, who shot himself after an altercation with a soldier, died at an early hour this morning.
