SYDNEY CITY RAILWAYS.
SYDNEY, July 23
The Legislative Assembly passed the second reading of tho City Railway Bill, Mr Ca-nn explaining that it provided for the adoption of a uniform electrified underground system which would meet all demands for the next 40 or 50 years, with' provision for expansion. It also was proposed to electrify the suburban railways. The total estimated cost was £7,000.000, on which the annual interest would be £315,000.
