FIRE IN WORSER BAY.
WELLINGTON, July 26. A fire on Saturday night destroyed Wyatt's general store in Worser Bay, and also the post.office-, public hail, bakehouse and two store-rooms, all of which were in one building. Wyatt was frying fish in oil, and left for a few minutes. Apparently the oil boiled over, for when he returned the room was a mass of flame, which quickly spread.
Wyatt valued his stock and furniture fit £1500, and was insured for £650. The insurances on the building have hot been ascertained.
