The Government has decided on largo purchases of American meat and grain to supply the Army and Navy until July, 19iG, also for the general population. ' . This step has been taken to. discourage the increasine; amount of specula-tive-dealing. -The Government has already secured-^QOO,OGO quintals of gram for the forces. Though the crops are not: abundant, ■■.they- are several million •quintalsiih excess,of those*of 19M. ..,-■■;
