SCHEME FOR A WIRELESS CHAIN
THE VALUE OF GERMANY'S WIRELESS PREPARATIONS.

Mr Marconi, speaking at a meeting of the Marconi Company, stated that owing to tin. 1 war the PostmasterGeneral had cancelled the schemes for an Imperial chain of wireless stations, but negotiations would be recommenced with tho Government in February withthe object of erecting certain stations upon conditions differing from those in the original .scheme. The negotiations would proceed on the. basis of a reasonable equivalent;
Mr Godfrey Isaacs stated that owing; to the German Government's support of a German scheme, the Marconi Company appojilod .to Sir Edward Grey, who thenceforward •supported the' company's negotiations abroad. The company now, had a preponderating position.throughout, the world.
