| DUNEDIN, July 25. ']■ The Mayor of Dunedin, Mr Clark, will leave for Wellington to-morrow. to attend a conference'of Mayors of cities regarding co-operation and unanimity of action in connection with Patriotic Funds. Mr Clark intends to raise the question whether it would not be in the best interests of ..the Dominion in ...the present crisis, to call, public meetings throughout the country to protest against the waste of time by Parliament and pass a resolution em- : phasising that the Dominion would be I best served by a coalition Ministry and i calling on Parliament at once to give | effect to the resolution. If the other ■ Mayors favour the project it will be ! proposed that meetings should be held throughout the Dominion on the one j night.
