PRISONERS OF WAR.

In tho House on-Friday, Mr Parr (Eden) asked what steps the Government had taken to secure the napes of the New Zealanders who were prisoners in the hands of the Turks.
The Minister of Defence said that he had cabled to the Army Council asking for information on the point, _ and the Governor had also made inquiries. The position -now was that a bureau had been established in Constantinople, in accordance with' international law; to provide information regarding: prisoners in the hands of the Turks. The bureau was under the supervision of _ the American diplomatic representatives. So far, the Now Zealand Government had secured information regarding only one prisoner, but he hoped that additional information would come to hand in the near future, as the bureau got into working order. ;
