LIVERPOOL CAMP ENQUIRY.
THE CHARGES AGAINST DR. i . SCHLINCK.
- SYDNEY, July 25. At the Liverpool camp enquiry, Mrs McKinnon, a relative by marriage of Dr. Schlinck, stated in evidence that the doctor, in conversation with her, j declared that the physical condition of the Australians gave them no chance against the fine men of the German Army. Dr. Schlinck, recalled, denied the allegation, and added that he had never been in Germany, and knew nothing of' I the physical standard of the German i A.riny - h Mr Orchard, a' member of Parliament, cross-examined, admitted that lie knew that the only ground on which Senator Millen baaed/ his charges against Dr. Schliiick was that the latter was alleged to have said that the Germans were not beaten yet. .. Witness admitted that there was no ground for the charges of
disloyalty and of having German sympathies made against Dr. Schlinck.
