The official' Press B\iTeau\ reports, that the' -enemy's East African troops have been active on the Nganda bordra, west of the "Victoria Nyanza, aiid succeeded in destroying the base at Bukoba, on the western shore of the lake.
Detachments of the Royal Fusiliers, North Lancashires, and African Rifles, under Brigadier J. M. Stewart, left Kisumu, and, aided by armed steamers, achieved a- brilliant success. The fort, the wireloss installation, many boats, and two machine-guns, were do-, stroyed, and a field-gun, many rifles, and valuable documents were captured.
