Wheatley gave evidence that because the lieutenant gave evidence against her, she would no longer shield him. . She admitted possession of a revolver, y.. but said the lieutenant took it away. I Thn Judge, in summing up. said ho jL considered that Lieutenant Wootton i'; wns? a discredited witness, as the cvi- '■' donee of Wheatley's possession of n revolver rested on his testimony.
