G^d; North Island, 6j<.l; ewes, 6d. Lamb.-—Canterbury, Sjd for all weights; second grade. 3d ; other than Canterbury, Bjd for best quality, second grade, 7sd. Beef. —New Zealand beef is not quoted. There is a moderate supply of chilled at the following rates: —Hinds, 8$d;; fores, 6Jd. . BUTTER. The butter market is quiet, and may go lower. Danish, 14Ss to-.lfSOs; iNew Zealand, 142s to 1445; Australian, 138s to 140s; Siberian not quoted. Of Irish creamery, the Government buying continues at 140s to 1445; .Argentine, 138s to 140s.

CHEESE. The cheese market is very firm on account of the difficulty of obtaining supplies.- Canadian last season's make is cleared, and this season's make is not yet .available.. The market for New Zealand is'firm, and prices continue to advance. White and' coloured, 9.Ba■• to ■ 100s; United States, clearing on arrival at 88s to 945 4 according to quality and size.
