DEARTH OF FARM LABOURERS.
To Tfls Editor " Gtiabdian." Sir, —Kindly allow me space to draw public attention to a misleading report fchat appeared in your'issue of 29th inst. The report says "there is a dearth oi labour for farm purposes just < at present, and there is no reason why any man, capable of doing manual; labour, should be out of -employment." The labour agents say there is no demand for farm labourers; they state fchat they have never known work to been so slack. I am a farm labourer my- * self, out of work, and I know scores of good men who are unable to get a day's work of any kind. , " J AS.'STEWART, Farm Labourer, "VVakanui.
