EMPLOYERS NOT SATISFIED.
DUNEDIN, May 31
Tne Employers' Association of i)unedin, being not altogether satisfied with the present progress of recruiting, has deemed it advisable for the purpose oi: ascertaining the position and the names of men who are apparently eligible to serve the 'King, to approach the Defence .Department and ask for a list of all the eligible men so far left. The employers will go into the question thoroughly and see if something cannot be done. Probably the list will ' bo examined and the names marked of men whom the employers think ought to go, and then it may be supposed some- encouragement will bo offered to such men to volunteer. POSTERS TO STIMULATE RECRUnrSNC. .._'.. DUNEDIN, May 31. With a view to stimulating recruiting, the director of the School of Art (Mr G. Hawcridge), at the suggestion of the Mayor, has designed a series of eight. large; posters, which are to be placed in prominent positions throughout the city. They will be striking, and it in thought.'will help in no small way to bring before the young men of Dime-din the/fact that tnoy should, if fit and free, be serving their King and country.. ~ ±
