BARRING OUT THE ENEMY
AUCKLAND, May 28. The Auckland Farmers' Union Provincial Conference passed the following resolution :—"ln viow of the, hostile and bitter attitude of many foreign countries towards the British Empire during the war, this conference is strougly of the opinion that the Farmers' Union:* in New Zealand should energetically contend for preferential trade within the Empire and with its Allies whik> they remain so."
