PARTS, April 25. An official statement *ay»: —"The enemy's renewed and obstinate efforts to turn to good account the surprise .achieved by asphyxiating gases failed. Our Zouaves and Belgian Carbineers recovered the Village of Lizerne, on the left bank of the Yser, which the enemy had' temporarily carried. We appreciably progressed on our left, keeping in touch with the Belgians, and advanced more slowly on our. right.'
