PREPARATIONS F?>R RECEIVING THE VISITORS. (Per Press Association.) ■ , [ WELLINGTON, May 29.. : Professor T. H. Laby, of Victoria College, informed a reporter this evening that arrangements are'well f? T~.'' ward for the big science congress which I is to be held in Wellington and Christchurch in September. It is expected that about 100 scientists, many otj whose names , are ; world-famous, will visit the Dominion. -The following sectional secretaries have accepted appointment: — _ Section I—Prof. W. P. Evans, Ph.D. (Canterbury* College), and Professor li. G Scott, M.I.C.E. (Canterbury College), assistant secretary, Mr 0. ■&•. Adams, M.Sc;, F.R.A.S. (Wellington),; Section' 2—Prof. Chilton, D.Sc,,; assistant secretary, Dr. Alan Thomson. Section, 3—Mr G. Hogben (Education and Geography), Prof. Segar (Economics), and Mr W. Downie Stewart, L.L.H. ("Economics). : The generii! secretary of , the lo£ al committee is Professor T. H- Laby, and,the treasurer is Professor Picken.
