HIGH SCHOOL.
BAZAAR AND SALE OF WORK
A Bazaar and Sale of Work, which has for its object.the raising of funds for the purpose of erecting a tennis court and the augmenting of the Magazine and Sports Fund and for school purposes generally, was opened in the High School Assembly Hall this afternoon. The bazaar was a most attractive one and comprised a plain and fancy work stall, and stalls for the sale of cakes, sweats, produce, books and magazines, and pot plants and flowers J Good side-shows and art and shooting galleries, guessing competitions, post office and fairy well were also in evidence. The work stall contained very creditable specimens of work which had been prepared, in most cases, by thn girl pupils. The produce stall, sweets, stall, and cake stall were all well loaded. The art gallery was nicely got up and the exhibits were really fine, some having a local significance, which patrons were quick to see and appreciate; The,bazaar was fairly well patronised this afterr.no'n and stallholders did good business. It will be open from 7-o'clock this''evening, when a short concert will be given. The following were the stallholders: Refreshment stall, Miss Kershaw and Miss Kennedy (convenors) and Misses E.
