MOUNT SOMERS.

The annual meeting of the above Board was held on Monday. Present: Messrs T'urton (chairman), Grigg, Lambie, and Comyns. The members' and overseer's reports were discussed,: and adopted as' satisfactory. • ■

Messrs L. Syme and T. Rutherford waited-on the Board 1 asking for its opinion and intentions with regaird to the unsatisfactory condition in flood time of, Bowyer's Stream, as: the bulk or the water'at present encroached 'on then* property, and caused damage to the main Staveley Road.—After discussion \>f the matter it was felt that any action by the Board would not be •justified-unless an inspection of the locality showed the necessity for safeguarding the public road, and it was ultimately decided that the Board would visit tho spot on May 11. Repairs for the ensuing month were left in the hands of the Overseer and members.

_ The following alterations to the roll were authorised, viz., roll Nos. 60. 299, 303. and 385 from Jane Neilson to L. C. McLachlan.

This concluded the business, and after nassing for payment accounts for £74 3s lOd, the meeting adjourned.
