MANAGEMENT OF RAILWAYS.

TO THE EDITOE

| Sir,—l had a sample of Reform management last week. A plough consigned to me was handed in at Ashburton on Tuesday last at 10 minutes past 2, and it reached Methven, a distance of 38 miles by rail, on Saturday, at 8 p.m. I was thus enabled to take delivery to-day, six days after it was put on the Ashburton Station. Comment is not necessary. METHVEN.
