HAYWARD'S PICTURES.

"Brennan of tlie Moors" was the title of the chief attraction in Hayward's change of programme at His Majesty's Theatre last evening. Ji proved' to be a stirring tale of life in Ireland about 100 years ago, when the customs and the dress of the inhabitants of the Emerald Isle were vastly different from what they are nowadays. The son of a large-hearted squire, who had become impoverished through helping the poor, vowed vengeance against the rich, and committed acts which made him an outlaw. Ho was possessed of keen wit, and his adventures proved startling a,s well as interesting. -His prison cell having been flooded, with water, he was almost drowned, but managed to escape. He pressed three roadside athletes into service as a human bridge, over which he crossed a stream and eluded his pursuers. A beautiful love story was contained in the tale, and " Brennan's " record as a highwayman commanded attention all through. A very interesting picture was "Our Servants and Friends,"

•iiich depicted many breeds of dogs, somo of which are strange to this part of jthe world. "The Pathe Gazette" proved as interesting a>s usual, nnd the "'Kelp Industry" a feature of more than ordinary educational value. "TV Hand of Destiny" (a drama') and two comics were also contained in the programme, which will bo repeated to-night.
