DUNEDIN, March 3
'At' to-day ; 's sitting, of the Methodist Church Conference, hearty thanks were tendered to Rev. S. Lawry, ex-presideiit, for his charge to the candidates for ordination delivered the previous evening. Congratulations were tendered to Rev. Messrs William Lee and J. S. R-ish-worth on attainment to their ministerial jubilee. The report on the Church Building and.Eoan Fund was received. The report emphasised the need for increased .capital./. The sheet capital account stands: at- £10,209. ' " ' The committee on circuits presented some additional findings. It was resolved that the Auckland and South Auckland districts hold their synods at different dates r : so" as to enable the Maori Mission Superintendent to attend their respective sessions. The order in which circuits are to fulfil their obligation to take married ministers was fixed as follows:—Taihape, Invercargill (Leo Street), Timaru (Bank Street), .Manaia, Dunedin (Dundas Street), and Paeroa.
