DANNEVIKKE, February VS. A daring theft was perpetrated at Benzie's private hotel yesterday moming. , The proprietor, J. Ross, was-. 1' making' up his cash, and • while doingl:, so was callod out of the room by one '_ of his family. Ho closed and locked the cash-box, but on-returning a, few,,, minutes later found the box open. -and. cash amounting to £54, cheques to the value of £12, missing. - The thief has not been apprehended*
