COUNTY COUNCIL.
The Ashburton County Council continued its ordinary meeting at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon. (A report of the proceedings up till 1 p:m. yesterday appeared in our last issue.) It was agreed that the chairman be appointed treasurer. The Council then went into committee to discuss a letter from the engineer. .
