WELLINGTON, November 25.

A fire started this evening in the upholstery workroom on the third floor of the- D.1.C., but the automatic sprinkler installed in the premises proved effective, and when the Brigade ariived their services were not needed. A '!few rolls of carpet were charred. The building is valued at £30,000, and the stock at £60,000. The insurances are held in practically all the offices in Wellington.
