A statement was made by the Employers' De-fence Committee to-day reiteration thai the sole responsibility for the striko rests with the o'd Wellington "Waterside Workers' Union. It points out tho fact that some "of the strikers have returned to work, leavingtho workers who did mrt strike without employment. The committee will have notniuK lo do with the Federation in the settlement negotiations having no fnith in its written or verbal word, but will stand by and for the now Arbitration Unions of waterside workers and' drivers, and will resist Federation Labour to the utmost. .
