Mr A. Joyce will give a public lecture in the Masonic Hall this evening on "Petroleum, .and the Prospects of Obtaining it in- Canterbury." Mr C. J. Harper will preside, ajid the lecture will be illustrated by limelight maps and rime of oilfields.
