'-'Marawiii Residence Destroyed by Fire. Noon, Thursday. — I , have just learned, on reliable authority, that Mr j; Oollinson's dwelling-house at Marawiti was burned down to the ground last night, nothing being saved. How the fire started is not known. Mr Col-' linson, who had been away all day, and returned home at night and retired to rest in the ordinary way, was' disturbed by the fire about 1.80 this morning- , . A Small Boy's Misfortune. I An acident occurred on Monday night to the four-year-old .son of Mr J. Cleeve. The boy had been out with his and, on reaching home, he fell out of the spring cart in which he had been seated, and broke his leg. Dr.* Golding, of Methven, was sent for, and was promptly on the spot. The boy is now doing as well as can be expetced. Mr and Mrs Cleeve have the sympathy of the district in their trouble. , . School Prize Distribution and Picnic. The picnic and prize distribution in connection with the Highbank Church Sunday. School was held (by kind permission of Mr Gr. Vaughan) in his grounds on Friday. There was a goodly company present, and they thorqughly enjoyed themselves. Mr W. J., Dickie, M.P., gave out the prizes, after speaking a few words of advice and encouragement.
