CHRISTCHITROH, November 13. ■ It has been ascertained that the. man i Charles Boyle, whoso body was found on Monday, on the railway line in the i cutting near Waipara, left the south train on Saturday night at Glasnevin. He alighted at the station platform under the,impression that the train was at Waipara, and when it had moved on inquired the nearest way to Waipara. Mr H. Busch directed him to keep on by fcho side of the railway. It is now thought that Boyle kept io tho line, and in the cutting niet a, light engine, which was coming for Waipara in the direction of Amberley, and was knocked down by it. AUCKLAND, November 12. While driving from Waingaro Springs to his home at Temowhai, Mark Barton (widower), aged 42 years, was fatally injured. The horse bolted,.and the three occupants of the trap were thrown out. Barton was apparently dragged along the ground, sustaining injuries to his face and head. He died Lo-day. GREYMOUTH, November 12. W rilliam Ellis, 29 years of age, was i crushed between a truck and a coal-tip, at the Papavoa mine, and died from his injuries last night.
