SUFFERINGS OF THE PEOPLE.
There is appalling misery in many provinces. Thousands of families are flying to the towns. Mosques, schools and churches arc crowded with refugees. Many children, succumbing to the bitter weather, lie down by the wayside and die. Some persons have been driven insane by privation.
