UNIVERSITY TOURNAMENT.
DtNEDIN, April 9. The University tennis tournament > was finished to-day: The weather was ' fine m the morning, but wet m the afternoon. The finals resulted as follows : Ladies' Singles.—Miss Cross (Canterbury) beat Miss Tennent (Wellington), 9-6. Ladies' Doubles.—Misses Gross and Jamieson (Canterbury) beat Misses Hunt and Farnie (Otago), 9-4. Men's Singles.—The final between Jennings and Smith (both of Canterbury), will be played m Christchurch. Men's Doubles. —Jennings and Smith (Canterbury) beat Cleghorn and Parker I (Wellington), 6-2, 6-3. ■ Combined Doubles.—Miss Cross and | Jennings beat Miss Tennent and Cleghorn, 6-2, 6-0.
