After the gold had been confiscated the Manzieb was released. LONDON, December 24. The underwriters regard the seizure of the British steamer Manzeib as a grave insult to the flag. The bullion aboard was from Alexandria, : and was insured in Paris, and largely re-insured in London. ROME, December 24. The Italians have captured the Turkish hospital ship Kaiserich. They allege that there were no beds, surgical appliances or medical stores aboard, and have seized the vessel on suspicion of being a Turkish transport for Arabia. - PARIS, Depember 24. Advices from Azizia state that the Italians were repulsed with a loss of 200. The Turks lost twelve killed and thirty wounded.
