The women of Tacoma, not being m sympathy with militant suffrage methods, refused to invite Mrs Emmeline Pankhurst to address them. She is, however, successfully campaigning m British Columbia, where she declared, the laws for women are unjust and more suited to the period when the country Avas governed by the Hudson's Bay Company. She also said that she expected to go to gaol m February, after her return to England.
