FIRE ON A COLLIER.
SYDNEY, August 11. A fire broke out on the collier "YV allarah, lying in Catherine Hill Bay. 'The chief officer, M'Connachie, and fche second officer. M'Guire, were sleepmg over a locker containing rockets, s^nd were awakened to find the cabin i'uli of flames. They managed to escape, but-'M'.Gonnacbi© was seriously injured, and M'Guire was badly scorched. An explosion caused by the , ■ rockets followed. The crew subdued the fixe. The i Wallarah was badly damaged amidships.
