CHRISTCHTJRCH, August 12 Walter H. Nicholls, seller of books and magazines on the ChnstchurchDunedin express, recenty offered indecent postcards for sale to a constable in plain clothes, and he appeared before Mr Bishop, S.M., to-day, m consequence. The statement, or the police was that Nicholls, when asked why he ran the risk of such cards, said he knew his business. If , he got caught, he supposed Mr Bishop would "give him hell!" The Magistrate observed that he did not know what Nicholls would get in the future but ho would "get it" in tin's world.: Accused pleaded guilty and was sentenced to a month's hard labour.
