Yesterday Mr H. A. Lloyd held a successful clearing sale at the residence of Messrs McDowell Bros., who are leaving the district. Prices were satisfactory, and were as follow:—Copper
£1 12s 6d, lot tools 14s, chairs 3s 6d, V 4& 6d, 10s 6d, 13s, and 255; clock, lls; chest of drawers., £2; double iron bedstead, £1,12s 6d"; double bedstead, £2 7s 6d; washstand, £1 7s 6d; |-hed--stead, £1 10s; cheffonier, £1 15s; bicycle, £3 ss; ..gun, £1; couch, £1 10s; table, £1 ; music stand, 12s; 6d; cot, 15s j box tools, 3; fowls, Is 6d pair; bay mare (aged), £4 10s'; sundries realised the -usual rates.
