STEAMBOAT COLLISION.

MARSEILLES, August 10. After the recent steamboat collision off Tarifa,. the Emir sank immediately. There were no English or American passengers on board, and most of those drowned were Moroccan labourers.
The Silverston ■ lowered three boats, but these were only able to save twelve of the Emir's crew and fifteen passengers, who were on deck.
