INQUEST TO-DAY.

A sad accident, which rcsalfcect fatally, occurred at the ' .residence of Mr 1 Robert Lamhie, of' Anama-, on '• Wednesday last, when an infant child accidentally upset a pot of scalding, tea over • itself. - ■ ' A formal inquest was held into tbe circumstances touching the ■ death by, -'■ the Coroner (Mr V. G. Day,, S.M.) thi« " morning. Robert Lambie, father of the child, deposed: Deceased was my son, apct was 16 months old. On Wednesday ■ evening about 4 o'clock he pulled a, teapot full of hot tea. over himself off ■ the table. 1 was by him on the sofa, "but was not in time to prevent the - - accident. We put oil on the scalds, and took him to the doctor yesterday .; morning early. Dr. "Hunter attended , to the child. He died at 6.45 this, morning. He was. scalded on tho left' side of tho face and left.' arm and chest.
