A Dispersal Sale.

" Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co., Dunedin, report that owing to Mr Donald Macdonald, of Edendale Estate, having decided to give up the breeding of Clydesdale horses, the dispersal of his stud took place on Tuesday, and proved one of the most successful events of its kind that have ever been held in New Zealand. The Edendale stud has for many years held a prominent place among the leading studs of the Dominion, and the sale attracted one of the largest and most representative gatherings of Cldyesdale men that has ever been brought together in New Zealand. Australia and tho North Island of this Dominion were represented, and every district of this island had also its quota at the sale. Bidding never flagged, and every animal was sold, the prices yielding an average that tor 30 horses has probably not been equalled before. The horses were shown in superb condition and fit for exhibition in any show ring. It is a noteworthy fact that all the best of the mares were bought for the Australian market.
