An important shipment of stud sheep was made to South America last month from Mr Watson Shennan's Puketoi and Conical Hills stud flocks, in Otago. The shipments consisted of 30 stud Merino rams and 12 stud Romney Marsh lambs 1: Twenty of the merino rams were selected by Mr John Roberts, and the Romney Marsh rams were selected by Mr John Cameron, of Sawyer's Bay, who has paid many visits to Puketoi and Conical Hills looking for suitable sheep for export to South America, and nearly always found the sheep ho requires. Mr Cameron has visited South America, and consequently ho knows the description of sheep best suited for that country.
